2021 in Review: Latin America and the Caribbean step up climate action
From rising sea levels and ocean acidification to more intense storms and more frequent droughts, the impacts of climate change are increasingly evident across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Without deep cuts to global greenhouse gas emissions, these impacts are only set to worsen. To secure their future, countries must embrace low-carbon development and build more climate-resilient societies and economies, from the regional to the national and local levels.
