Suvi Huikuri is a Policy Specialist in UNDP’s HIV and Health Team in New York, working on the intersection of climate, environment and health. She supports countries to address and better govern the health impacts of climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss. Prior to joining UNDP in 2017, Suvi was with the World Health Organization for five years in New York, USA and Kobe, Japan, working on health inequities, urban health governance and noncommunicable diseases. She has also worked at the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of the Environment of Finland. Suvi holds a Master’s Degree in social sciences from the University of Helsinki.
