Eri Yamasumi

Eri is a programme specialist at the Executive Office of the Administrator, working on climate strategies and policy. She has experience working in the Kenya Country Office, Bureau of External Relations and Advocacy, and SDG Finance Sector Hub. Prior to UNDP, she served for the Japanese diplomatic service, having posted at the G7 Secretariat, Foreign Ministers Meeting Secretariat, and Embassy of Japan in Uganda/Economic Cooperation Section. She specializes in intergovernmental processes, development programming and policy analysis, currently focusing on climate change. Eri holds a Bachelor of Economics from Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan, as well as a Master's in Development Studies from the University of Manchester in the UK.
