Our Donors and Partners

UNDP has the largest climate portfolio in the UN system, supporting climate action in more than 140 developing countries, delivering a portfolio of over US$2 billion in grant financing.

UNDP’s work on climate action is possible thanks to generous bilateral support from Belgium, Denmark, the European Union, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and other core donors. The portfolio is also supported by various vertical funds, including the Adaptation Fund, Green Climate Fund (GCF), and Global Environment Facility (GEF).

Partnerships have been at the core of UNDP’s approach, working closely with UN System partners and beyond, including as the largest implementer of the NDC Partnership. UNDP also leads the UN System-wide coordinated effort to help developing countries align their NDCs with a 1.5°C pathway through the Climate Promise 2025.

We also extend our gratitude to UNDP’s core donors who support this work.
