Iran has not yet signed the Paris Agreement. Therefore, the country has not submitted an NDC.
In the meantime, through the support of Climate Promise, the country has developed:
- a National Smart Emission Inventory System and made it operational;
- a preliminary version of its National Climate Finance Strategy;
- national guidelines for its GHG emission inventory, which was approved by government;
- an economic impact assessment of the global climate response measures on the Iran economy.
