Türkiye submitted its revised NDC in April 2023.

Key highlights from the NDC
  • Türkiye’s revised NDC commits to a 41% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (695 Mt CO2e in year 2030), compared to business-as-usual.
  • The country intends to peak its emissions in 2038 at the latest and achieve net zero by 2053.
  • The revised NDC is economy-wide and includes comprehensive mitigation and adaptation actions as well as details about the means of implementation.
  • The adaptation components are included for the first time, with a focus on agriculture, forestry, water, disaster risk management, urban and rural development, and public health.
