NDC Status

Madagascar submitted its first NDC in September 2016.

The review of the NDC is currently ongoing, with the objective to formulate more ambitious climate measures and strengthen coordination of the NDC implementation. UNDP supports an inclusive and gender-responsive revision process, and provides technical and capacity building assistance to enhance the country's climate ambition, in particular for low-carbon emissions in the medium and longer term. This support also aims to help establish a Monitoring, Reporting and Verification system.
