Lesotho submitted its first NDC in January 2017.
The revision of the NDC is currently ongoing. UNDP is supporting Lesotho in enhancing its NDC by adopting a whole-of-government and a whole-of-society approach, engaging with religious leaders, communities, youth, women and key vulnerable groups. UNDP also supports the review and assessment of the key sectors that have potential to increase the country's mitigation and adaptation ambition, and the setting up of Monitoring, Reporting and Verification systems and mechanisms. Finally, UNDP helps develop the NDC implementation plan, as well as an investment strategy and an engagement plan for the private sector.
