Key highlights from the NDC
  • Lebanon committed to a conditional emissions reduction target of 31% by 2030 compared to business as usual.
  • Despite being in a fragile context, the country also increased its unconditional emissions reduction target to 20%.
  • The revised NDC enhances transparency on mitigation targets, including on renewable energy.
  • It also provides more clarity on its adaptation actions and promotes inclusiveness and whole-of-society approaches.
