Somalia submitted its revised NDC in July 2021.

Key highlights from the NDC
  • Somalia set an ambitious emissions reduction target of 30% below business-as-usual by 2030, conditional on international public and private support.
  • The country has expanded on the sectors and gases covered and has set quantifiable targets in the agriculture, energy, forestry, transport, and waste sectors.
  • The revised NDC also includes detailed adaptation measures.
