NDC Status

Saint Lucia submitted its third NDC in February 2025. 

Key highlights from the NDC
  • Saint Lucia’s third NDC commits to an economy-wide GHG reduction target in the energy sector of 22 percent by 2035 compared to 2010 levels.
  • The adaptation component is further elaborated with measures and targets that are aligned with the country’s National Adaptation Plan (NAP).
  • The new NDC places a strong emphasis on gender equality and social inclusion, and children and youth ensuring that these elements are mainstreamed across both adaptation and mitigation measures to foster a more inclusive society.  
  • UNDP played a key role in supporting the stocktake of the 2020 NDC implementation, helping to inform the development of the implementation plan for the third NDC.
NAP Status

Saint Lucia submitted its National Adaptation Plan (NAP) for 2018-2028. The NAP was supported by the UNDP-UNEP Global Support Programme on NAPs.
