Delivering on the Promise: Powering the next generation of climate action

This COP30 side event will illustrate how champion countries have developed ambitious, inclusive and financially-attractive NDCs in a world full of increasing  economic, political, and civic constraints, and how the UN System has come together to support these efforts. Structured around the Climate Promise 2025 pillars, it will include insightful experiences and success stories on how countries have increased their ambition, ensured meaningful inclusion of whole-of-society, and supported acceleration of implementation by ensuring NDCs are investible and implementable, and set in the right enabling environment.  

The side event will also showcase how, through coordinated UN efforts, countries have simultaneously delivered on a number of the COP30 Presidency priorities under its Action Agenda, from transitioning energy, industry, and transport to stewarding forests, oceans, and biodiversity.
