Grace Balawag is a Kankanaey-Igorot Indigenous woman from the Mountain Province, Philippines. She is a social development specialist and serves as the Assistant Program Coordinator of the Climate Change and Biodiversity Program under Tebtebba (Indigenous Peoples' International Centre for Policy Research and Education). She coordinates the global Elatia Partners Network, the Indigenous Peoples Global Partnership on Climate Change, Forests and Sustainable Development with 19 partner Indigenous Peoples Organizations and NGOs across 14 countries within Africa, Asia and Latin America. She is a member of the Facilitative Working Group of the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples Platform (FWG-LCIPP) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCCC). She currently serves as one of the Co-Chairs of the Indigenous Peoples Organizations (IPO) constituency in the UNFCCC. At the national level, she serves as a Steering Committee Member of the Aksyon Klima Pilipinas (AK), a national network of CSOs and IPOs working on climate action.
