Gülşah supports GEF-funded Enabling Activities and Transparency portfolio as Regional and Global Programme Associate. She facilitates the effective delivery of the Transparency portfolios, by providing support and oversight throughout the development, implementation, monitoring/evaluation and closure of these projects, and actively contributing to effective portfolio data and knowledge management.
Prior to joining UNDP, Gülşah worked for an international consultancy firm in Istanbul, providing independent monitoring, evaluation, and research services in the wider MENA region. She served as Project Manager as well as an Evaluator for numerous programmes implemented by FAO, IOM and UNICEF and EU, covering livelihood, food security and social protection issues. In her earlier career, she worked for a policy think-tank in Istanbul, coordinating research projects on migration, social perception, and international relations, and authored/co-authored research and policy reports in these fields. She graduated from Istanbul University and holds a master’s degree from the University of Surrey (UK).
