With more than 12 year's experience supporting countries on policy and programming related to climate action and disaster risk reduction, Kalyan has extensive knowledge on global processes related to Nationally Determined Contributions, Adaptation Communications, National Adaptation Plans under the Paris Agreement, the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. She has a particularly strong interest in innovation and data for communications and has practical know-how on tools and applications for data analysis and visualisations.
