Since 2005, Yevgen has been involved in developing climate policies and projects. He has played a key role in developing emissions reduction projects in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine and has served as a key expert on a project related to the future of carbon pricing in Ukraine. During 2016-2018, Yevgen worked for the World Bank leading the successful development of carbon dioxide monitoring and reporting methodologies based on the EU Emissions Trading Scheme and coordinating pilot activities applying these methodologies in industry. Currently, he serves as the regional manager of EU4Climate project, coordinating the development of strategic climate policies in the EU Eastern Partnership region, including updating the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and preparing mid-century Low Emissions Development Strategies.
