This inventory provides a comprehensive overview of how countries across the region are integrating a gender approach into their climate policy frameworks. Based on a systematic analysis, the publication identifies progress, gaps, and opportunities, positioning itself as a strategic baseline to guide the implementation of the Belém Gender Action Plan.

Beyond mapping policies, the study offers an action-oriented perspective: it shows how existing advances in NDCs, plans, institutional frameworks, and data can be scaled up and aligned with global priorities, strengthening more inclusive, coherent, and evidence-based climate action. It also highlights the critical role of data, institutional capacity, and regional learning in accelerating implementation.

At a pivotal moment for the region, this publication connects evidence, public policy, and practice, providing concrete inputs for governments, international organizations, and civil society to advance climate action with gender equality.
