Christelle Odongo-Braun, PhD, is the Regional Project Manager for UNDP’s Africa Minigrids Program, bringing over 14 years of experience in international development with a focus on energy and climate change. With extensive experience in the Africa region, Christelle previously held the role of Regional Policy Specialist on Energy for UNDP. Before joining UNDP in 2020, Christelle worked as a technical expert or researcher with institutions such as the International Civil Aviation Organization, Wageningen University, the French Ministry of Defence, and UNOPS in Haiti. Christelle holds a Master of Engineering from École des Mines de Nancy (France), a Master of Computer Science from Technical University Dresden (Germany), and a PhD in Computer Science from École Polytechnique (France). She speaks French, English and German fluently.
