Daisy Mukarakate

Regional Climate Policy Advisor at the UNDP Regional Service Centre for Africa, Daisy has more than 25 year's experience in international development. For the past 20 years she has worked in various capacities in the UN system, at country and continental levels, providing policy, programmatic and technical support to African countries in the areas of climate change, environment, energy, and sustainable community livelihoods. Prior to this she worked as an Environment Desk Officer at the Danish International Development Agency, Royal Danish Embassy and as a Senior Research Scientist. Daisy holds a Masters in Soil Science from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, a Masters in Development Studies from the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa and a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Zimbabwe.
