Lisa is a climate change, resilience, and gender expert who supports the team to manage and develop knowledge products and resources. This work supports UNDP as a thought leader in the climate-development nexus, provides intelligence and learning on climate ambition and action, and enhances internal team learning. Lisa has 15 years' experience working at the programming and policy levels in Africa and Southeast Asia, with a large part of her career spent living in East Africa coordinating and advising programming in resilience, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and livelihoods for several international NGOs. She has specific expertise in sub-Saharan Africa, pastoral systems and dryland environments, and in gender-transformational programming. Lisa holds a Master's degree in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London, and a joint Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Anthropology from Middlebury College, Vermont.
