Thiago is the coordinator for the Lusophone Transparency Network for the Belgium-funded “Enhancing Climate Transparency” project under the Climate Promise.
Thiago brings over 15 years of experience on MRV systems, Transparency and GHG reporting. He is a certified GHG inventory reviewer and a former member (2014-2018) and Chair of the Consultative Group of Experts of the UNFCCC (2018). Before joining UNDP, he was Senior Climate Advisor of World Bank and NDC Partnership Project within the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Government of Mozambique. He also served as the National Secretary for Climate Change and Forests at the Ministry of the Environment of Brazil.
Thiago is a Post-Doctoral Researcher (PUC Minas), and holds a PHD in Sustainable Development, Master’s Degree in Geography and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations.
