Zeynep Bakir

Zeynep is Programme Analyst for the Belgium-funded “Enhancing Climate Transparency” project under the Climate Promise. She brings over 8 years of project management and research experience on national and international projects on climate change reporting and transparency, democratization, social perception, international relations, and conflict resolution/peacebuilding in and across Europe, Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Africa.

Previously, Zeynep supported the GEF-funded Enabling Activities and Transparency portfolio as Regional and Global Programme Associate. Before she joined UNDP, she was working in a policy-oriented think-tank in Turkey, where she managed national and multinational projects with a focus on qualitative research and produced number of policy reports and papers.

Zeynep holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in Paris, France. She is based in Istanbul, Turkey.
