Christopher is a SDG Finance and NDC Policy Specialist, and works with both the Sustainable Finance Hub and Climate Promise teams. He leads the implementation of the Joint Agenda for Scaling up Finance to Deliver the Paris Agreement.
Prior to this role, he was UNDP’s Development Economist for Guinea Bissau and Cabo Verde. As head of the Economic and Strategy Cluster at UNDP Guinea Bissau and the Strategy and Policy Unit at the UNDP, UNICEF and UNFPA Joint Office in Cabo Verde, he supported the respective country-level INFF rollout processes with the launch of NDC, blue economy, and crisis recovery-themed development finance assessments (DFAs).
Before joining UNDP, Christopher held managerial and advisory roles with various local, national, and international authorities, private entities, and NGOs.
He holds a doctorate in International Development from the University of Oxford, where he attended as a Clarendon Scholar and concurrently held the Peter J. Braam Scholarship in International Development at Merton College.
